Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Biopathology Lab
Enhancing Research Safety with Ducted and Filtered Fume Hoods
Specialty Solutions recently completed the installation of six ducted fume hoods for a new research facility within the Biopathology Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. These hoods were part of a lab buildout designed to meet strict airflow and containment requirements to support high-performance biomedical research. Our team worked closely with stakeholders to ensure each unit was properly integrated into the facility’s HVAC and safety systems.
We were later brought back to install a 3-foot filtered fume hood to support a flexible-use lab space. Filtered hoods offer mobility and fast deployment in areas where ducted ventilation may not be available—making them a smart solution for evolving research needs.
